The Prompts and Rubric

Hey Hackers!

The day has finally begun! Today you guys will code something that could tremendously help healthcare advance. Here's the prompts to choose from and the rubric you will be graded on!

Prompt 1: “Empower Health Through Innovation”

Challenge:

Develop any AI, web, or mobile software solution that empowers individuals to understand, track, or improve their health.

Examples:

AI that explains symptoms or lab results in simple terms

A wellness tracker that provides intelligent insights from user data

A web tool for mental health journaling or mindfulness monitoring

A personal health dashboard that gives prevention tips

Focus:

Encourage self-care, education, and early prevention through technology that helps people make better health choices.

Impact Example:

Improves individual health awareness and reduces dependency on emergency care.

Prompt 2: “Connecting Care: Bridging Gaps in Healthcare Access”

Challenge:

Create a software-based system that improves communication, access, or coordination between patients, doctors, and caregivers.

Examples:

A secure web portal for online consultations or follow-ups

AI assistant that summarizes or translates doctor-patient discussions

Appointment, medication, or recovery management platform

App for remote health tracking and progress sharing with providers

Focus:

Reduce barriers caused by distance, time, or communication — making healthcare more accessible and coordinated.

Impact Example:

Brings consistent and equitable care to patients who need it most.

---

Prompt 3: “Data for a Healthier World”

Challenge:

Design a data-driven or AI-powered software application that turns healthcare or wellness data into useful insights for communities or organizations.

Examples:

A public dashboard visualizing community health data

AI model predicting health trends or outbreak risks

Tool to help hospitals allocate staff or resources more effectively

App that aggregates anonymized wellness data for insights

Focus:

Promote transparency, prevention, and data-informed action to strengthen healthcare systems.

Impact Example:

Empowers local communities and health agencies to respond proactively to issues.
